Since 2010, the Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) has been dedicated to bringing greater diversity to the game of golf, opening doors for African Americans and other minority golfers to compete and excel at the highest levels. Through professional tournaments, player development, mentorship, and youth outreach, we are building a diverse community that celebrates talent, fosters growth, and uplifts future champions.

Please read all the requirements below very carefully before submitting. The application process will be open from October 31, 2024 through December 15, 2024. All nonexempt members will be notified if they are accepted NO Later than January 15, 2025
TOTAL APGA TOUR MEMBERSHIPS IN 2025 WILL BE 70
Current 2024 Members
In keeping with the APGA Tour’s Mission Statement, the AGPA Tour membership is open to minority players. No Player who has full status in 2024 on the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, Asian Tour, LIV Tour, or DP World Tour can be a member or play in APGA Tour Events. APGA Tour Membership is for players 45 years and under. 2024 APGA Tour Members will be evaluated for 2025 APGA Tour membership based on the following categories/criteria:
Top twenty-five (25) 2024 Lexus Cup point earners and the top ten (10) APGA Tour Farmers Insurance Fall Series point earners for a total of thirty-five (35) spots automatically qualify.
Current Members of the APGA Tour Player Development Program ( )
Top five (5) players from the 2024 APGA Collegiate Rankings.
Top five (5) players in the 2025 APGA Collegiate Rankings.
Past members with a stroke average of seventy-four (73.5) or better (based on the 2024 Cisco Cup points list) The players' stroke average must come from at least three of the 2024 APGA Tour events. (current exempt APGA Tour Players for 2024 will be notified through separate email)
Performance in USGA Championships, PGA Section events, State Opens, Amateur Championships or other tournaments of an accomplished status.
If APGA TOUR 2024 members do not meet the above categories/criteria, they will be required to re-qualify for the 2025 APGA TOUR based on the new membership criteria (Criteria 5 below is waived for prior APGA TOUR members):
Current 2024 members who do not meet all of the 2025 membership criteria may be granted “Conditional Status” to compete in some or all events. APGA TOUR Tournament Operations Committee reserves the right to make changes, modifications and updates which may impact and/or influence the outcome of membership qualifications and process. Additionally, the code of conduct policy may have implications in regard to renewing membership.

The new membership requests qualifications are as follows:
1. Criteria One: In keeping with the APGA Tour’s Mission Statement, The AGPA Tour membership is open to minority players.
2. Criteria Two: No Player who has full status in 2025 on the PGA Tour, Korn Ferry Tour, Asian Tour, LIV Tour or DP Would Tour can be a member or play in APGA Tour Events.
3. Criteria Three: APGA Tour Membership is for players 45 years and under. An exception may be granted for prior APGA TOUR members in good standing.
4. Criteria Four: The Player must fill out an APGA Tour application and submit a brief résumé and bio that includes top finishes in State Opens, PGA Sections events, Other MiniTour events, or other tournaments of an accomplished status. (This could include top amateurs' or collegiate events in the past year. (If the Player wants to become a Golf Professional)
5. Criteria Five: A player must have two (2) signed entry forms that include the signature of a PGA Tour Player, PGA Club professional, or a coach in good standing with the APGA Tour Tournament Committee attesting to their character and skill level. Applications will be considered incomplete until the committee has received all requested documents.
6. Criteria Six: A handicap of one plus (+1) or better must also be submitted (State or USGA organization must establish this handicap). For existing APGA Members a scoring average of 73.5 or below is required.
